Abstract

This online survey of college students (age 18-59) found money management behaviors were better predicted by financial self-efficacy, willingness to take risks, age, and gender rather than finance knowledge. Financial literacy educators must address beliefs and attitudes about money in addition to students’ comprehension of personal finance concepts.
