Abstract
We investigated how perceived father-adolescent resemblance affects parenting and adolescent-father attachment. Perceived father-adolescent physical resemblance, but not shared interests, predicted a change in harsh paternal caregiving across a one-year interval, which further predicted a decrease in adolescent use of father as a secure base during a stress task.
