Abstract
Psychological ownership, or the feeling that “this belongs to me”, has been widely studied in non-human contexts (e.g., objects, ideas, organizations). In three studies, our research provides empirical evidence that individuals can develop the feeling of ownership towards another human entity (“This person is mine!”).
