Abstract
This study sought to determine if a brief mindfulness exercise would increase distress disclosure via emotional expression during a trauma focused writing task. Results indicated that the mindfulness exercise fostered a mindful state and the use of more insight words within the Mindfulness Group compared to the Experimental Group.
