Abstract
The antecedents of sexually aggressive behavior remain unclear (Blanchard et al., 2018; Jardin et al., 2017). We examined the relationship between negative/internal sex motives (using sex to cope) and perpetration of sexual aggression. The results showed that using sex to regulate negative emotion increases the likelihood of sexual aggression.
