Expanding Perspective: Feedback Shapes the Understanding of Other’s Emotions

In two preregistered experiments, 400 participants watched videos of a target sharing emotional experiences and rated the target's emotions. Later, some percivers learned about the actual emotions the target felt. Findings show that learning about past emotional experiences of others can help to understand them in the future.
