Abstract

In a gamified task testing sunk-cost fallacy, participants decided whether to switch to a quicker stream of coins and lose the already-collected coins or to stay. The correlation between task performance and a sunk-cost questionnaire, and a strong overestimation bias for the original option suggested successful assessment of sunk-cost fallacy.
