Abstract

Individuals have unique emotional experiences with biopsychosocial influences. We used 75-day affective ratings and p-technique factor analysis to estimate person-specific dimensions of emotion in women. We found that dispositional negative affect interacted with exogenous sex hormones contained in oral contraceptives to predict emotional complexity (i.e., having many clusters of emotion).
