Abstract
This study examined how university culture and grit influenced undergraduate students’ academic performance and retention. Using mixed-methods, data yielded information regarding minority students’ vulnerability to dropping out or failing academically. Results showed the need to improve supportive networks that increase retention, educational success, and inclusivity in a minority serving university.
