Abstract
We assessed the interaction of the gender of the instructor and syllabus design on multicultural teaching competencies and master teacher behaviors and found that when students viewed a learner-centered syllabus, they rated the teacher higher. No gender differences were observed. Implications for classroom instruction and design will be discussed.
