Effects of Computer-Generated Visual Evidence on Mock Jurors’ Legal Judgments

The current study investigated whether and how visual evidence affects legal judgments. After reading case information with or without visual evidence, participants made legal judgments. Results indicated that they found the defendant more liable when visual evidence was used while being able to distinguish between illustrative and substantive evidence.
