Abstract
We examined media use/multitasking, learning, mind-wandering and divergent thinking. Media use was correlated negatively with divergent thinking and positively with distractibility, impulsiveness and mind-wandering. Multitasking preference was correlated positively with mind-wandering, impulsiveness and distractibility. Experimentally, media multitasking negatively impacted learning, but did not impact mind-wandering or divergent thinking.
