Abstract

Using multiple linear regression analyses, we examined effects of trauma experiences and coping use on adolescent internalizing symptoms. Findings suggest that increased use of adaptive coping predicts fewer symptoms of anxiety and depression across trauma types, and interacts with emotional abuse and neglect, but not physical abuse and neglect.
