Abstract
This study examined the effect of student loans and self-efficacy on student’s levels of happiness, academic achievement, and persistence to finish their degree. Two hundred and sixty-six undergraduates completed surveys measuring these constructs. Analyses demonstrate that participants with student loans were generally happier and more persistent toward degree completion.
