Abstract

This study examined how involvement in particular activities in adolescence develops an individuals’ leader self-efficacy and role emergence in adulthood. Participation in sports, club leadership, and student government were significant predictors of leader self-efficacy. In addition, general leadership experience before high school predicted leader self-efficacy.
