Psychological Distress Among Asian Immigrants: Examining the Role of Family Cohesion and Social Support

Abstract
We examined the relationship between family cohesion, social support, and psychological distress in a sample of Asian immigrants in the United States. Higher family cohesion and social support were correlated with lower psychological distress. Symptoms of distress were also influenced by financial situation, country of origin, and marital status.
