Abstract
Suicide is one of the leading causes of death in the U.S., and researchers have highlighted an increased need for research on the transition from suicidal thoughts to action. Cognitive distortions, response styles, and emotion dysregulation did not differentiate between psychiatric inpatients who did and did not transition after discharge.
