Abstract
Stronger parent-child attachment predicted mentoring relationship satisfaction among 340 youth randomized to mentors within a well-established youth mentoring program (b = 0.37, SE = 0.09, p < 0.001). Given strong correlations between mentoring relationship satisfaction and youth outcomes, these results have important implications for the efficacy of mentoring interventions.
