Abstract
The current research examined whether overparenting impacted posttraumatic stress symptom severity through difficulties with emotion regulation. Difficulties with emotion regulation partially mediated the relationship between overparenting and posttraumatic stress symptom severity. The model remained statistically significant when controlling for negative affectivity, age, and gender.
