Parenting with Children's Civic Development in Mind

We investigated the relationships between parents’ beliefs about youth involvement in civic activities, youth social responsibility, parental socialization self-efficacy, and parenting time perspective. Results revealed significant indirect effects of parenting time perspective on parents’ goals for children’s political involvement through civic socialization self- efficacy and beliefs about youth’s social responsibility.
