Abstract
In a sample of 122 dyads, maternal-fetal attachment (MFA) and maternal anxiety/depressive symptoms were examined as predictors of child socioemotional development around age 3. Higher reported MFA predicted greater socioemotional competence, whereas more maternal mental health symptoms predicted child social and behavioral problems.
