Abstract
We trained meditation novices with either 30-min or 30-hour mindfulness meditation. Compared with the control group, the meditation group showed enhancement in attentional alerting and conflict monitoring immediately after 30-min meditation and enhancement in attentional alerting after 30-hour meditation. No meditation-induced improvement in sustained attention was observed in our study.
