The Role of Respect for Authority in Self Construal across Generations

Abstract
This study examines possible variation in the levels of respect amongst individuals belonging to different generations for authority figures who possess power and those who do not possess power. Participants from five age categories responded to four items that measured respect from the Self-Construal Scale (SCS; Singelis, 1994).
