Abstract

The purpose of this study was to explore differences in mothers and fathers regarding perfectionism, parenting perfectionism, and competitiveness. Independent samples t-tests revealed significant differences in parenting perfectionism and competitiveness. Fathers scored significantly higher regarding partner’s parenting perfectionism, partner’s expectations for perfect parenting, and on measures of competitiveness.
