Latinas’ Marianismo Is Associated with Workplace Negotiation Beliefs

Women’s paychecks are 81% of what men are paid however for Latino women this number is 62%. Difference in negotiation beliefs may contribute to this. Latinas reported culturally relevant beliefs as well as perceptions relating to workplace negotiation. Results provide insights on cultural as well as gender influences in negotiation.
