College Students’ Effect Expectancies of Abusing Stimulants

Abstract

Researchers assessed factors influencing positive and negative effect expectancies of abusing stimulants to enhance academic performance. A comparison was made between prescription stimulants and methamphetamine. Students expected less negative effects and more positive effects from prescription abuse than methamphetamine for improving academic performance.
