Abstract

This study investigated associations between emotion regulation (ER) flexibility and eating disorder symptoms in a nonclinical sample of women. Findings suggest that an impaired ability to flexibly adjust ER strategies in accordance with changes in contextual factors (low ER flexibility) may contribute to unhealthy compensatory behaviors but not binge eating.
