Using the Industrial/Organizational Psychology Interest Inventory to Develop Effective Mentoring Relationships

Abstract
The Industrial/Organizational Psychology Interest (IOPI) Inventory was administered for two cohorts of incoming students. Mentoring relationships were formed based on the IOPI. New items added at Time 2 helped to yield a more refined seven-factor model. Results also indicated a positive correlation between administrations and improved mentor satisfaction.
