Assessing the Effects of Background Music on Critical Thinking Performance.

Although often thought of as a trait, critical thinking can be affected by the environment. This study looked at the impact of music on four measures of critical thinking. Three of the critical thinking measures showed no effect, but a free-response ecologically-valid measure showed a significant effect.
