Pairing Occupations with Pictures of Females Leads to Memory Detriments

This study investigated how pairing pictures of males and females with occupations stereotypically consistent and inconsistent with gender affected memory. It was observed that occupations paired with females were remembered less than occupations paired with males. Also, females were not as correctly paired with their occupations compared to the males.
