OXTR Genotype May Modulate the Effects of Psychosocial Stress on Romantic Relationship Functioning in Heterosexual Couples

Abstract
We tested whether OXTR genotype modulated effects of stress on romantic relationship functioning. Results revealed a pattern consistent with hypotheses, such that those carrying an A allele evidenced greater negative and less positive behaviour during a conflict resolution task relative to those homozygous for G in the stress condition only.
