Abstract
Participants performed working memory tasks and reported strategy use. When working memory performance was beyond capacity, participants reported using fewer strategies and less confident memories of these strategies. Working memory capacity may influence the breadth or quality of strategy memories that may be retrieved from or encoded into long-term memory.
