Measuring Workplace Anxiety: Evidence for a Multidimensional Construct

Job anxiety, a psychological strain response to work stressors, is reported by 40 per cent of American workers. Although thought to stem from multiple sources, comparatively little research has investigated its dimensionality. This study describes the development and preliminary validation of a Work Anxiety Scale that identified three underlying dimensions.
