Abstract
This RCT tested separately the three components of a “wise intervention” (growth mindset, gratitude, and value affirmation) delivered in Kenyan classrooms by lay-leaders (N=895). The values intervention significantly reduced anxiety relative to the control in both universal and clinical samples; the growth intervention significantly reduced anxiety in the clinical sample.
