The Effect of Perceived Social Status on Social Stigma Associated with Substance Abuse in a Sample of Nursing Students

The current experimental vignette study aimed to examine nursing students’ attitudes toward a hypothetical heroin addict when given different information about a substance user’s social status. This study demonstrated a differential attitude toward substance users among nursing students based on their perceptions of the substance user’s social status.
