Attitudes Toward Guns: Links with Accurate Knowledge of Gun Violence.

Abstract
Adults completed online self-report measures assessing knowledge of and attitudes toward guns. Accurate knowledge of gun violence is linked to more negative attitudes, except for individuals who identify strongly as gun owners, for whom knowledge of gun violence is independent of gun attitudes, with a near zero correlation between them.
