Abstract
We examined the relationships between parenting styles and college students’ (N = 92) academic and social wellbeing. Contrary to prior findings, authoritative parenting did not consistently predict adjustment, fathers’ parenting styles sometimes predicted better than mothers’, and more predictive relationships were seen for male than female students.
