Abstract
Injectors were younger at first opioid treatment episode, were more likely to receive mental health services as adults, and endorsed fewer symptoms of needle phobia. Injectors demonstrated higher ratings of alcohol use severity and lower cocaine use severity. Non-injection users were less likely to report close friends who injected.
