Abstract
Little is known about the prevalence of optimal well-being (OWB) – high psychosocial and physical functioning, without psychopathology – after psychiatric diagnoses. In a representative sample (N=20,751), OWB rates were significantly lower in people with a history of depression (7.4%), bipolar (2.4%), and anxiety (6.0%), compared to non-disordered individuals (24.1%).
