Parents' Beliefs about Children's Planning Skills and Child Planning in Korean-American and European-American Families

Abstract
88 mothers and their 5- or 8-year-old children were observed as the child planned an activity alone and with mother. Mothers reported their age-related beliefs about children’s planning capabilities. Mother’s beliefs differed by ethnicity and were associated with children’s better planning performance.
