Abstract
Psychology students’ initial ratings of Grit and Campus Climate were associated with Student Performance Engagement (i.e., self-efficacy) after the first exam, which predicted final course grades. These predictors show time-sensitive and indirect relationships with academic performance. Our results may help explain inconsistencies in the literature and support student success.
