Autobiographical Nostalgia Is Evoked Faster Than Non-Autobiographical Nostalgia

This study investigated the effects of autobiographical episodes on the occurrence of nostalgia. We classified autobiographical nostalgia and non-autobiographical nostalgia by conducting remember/know task. Thirty-seven participants' occurrence time of nostalgia and response time of remember/know task were measured. The results showed that autobiographical nostalgia was evoked faster than non-autobiographical nostalgia.
