Abstract

Using longitudinal data on women with/without childhood ADHD through early adulthood, we categorized internalizing and externalizing symptom trajectories into latent classes. Childhood hyperactivity-impulsivity (HI) predicted elevated externalizing trajectories; childhood inattention (IA) predicted elevated internalizing trajectories. Childhood HI was associated with increased likelihood of externalizing symptom escalation to clinically significant levels.
