Abstract

We present young adults’ retrospective reports of delay behaviors of their parents and how much parents emphasized timeliness of doing tasks in six domains (work, home, social, health, financial, academic). Parental modeling and emphasis on timeliness correlated positively with less delay in corresponding domains and overall procrastination in young adulthood.
