Abdominal Pain As a Correlate of Depressive and Anxious Symptomology in Adolescents with Inflammatory Bowel Diseases

Adolescents with inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) are at risk for depressive and anxiety symptoms. This study examined associations between abdominal pain and internalizing symptoms in a sample of 76 adolescents with IBD. Results indicated positive associations between abdominal pain and depressive symptoms, as well as select anxiety symptoms.
