Loneliness and Sleep Among Latinx Adolescents Transitioning to College: The Moderating Role of Sex

Latina female adolescents experienced greater loneliness during the first semester of college, compared to males. Loneliness in the first semester of college significantly predicted greater sleep duration the next semester for both sexes. Females who felt particularly lonely during the first semester experienced more difficulty falling asleep the next semester.
