Abstract

We tested relationships between depression risk factors and the mean, instability, and persistence of momentary positive affect (PA) and negative affect (NA). Depression history predicted lower mean PA and greater mean NA. Additionally, neural sensitivity to reward (assessed via the Reward Positivity) predicted greater PA persistence and decreased NA persistence.
