A Longitudinal Study Investigating the Communication between Parents and Their Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder

This study explored the linguistic behavior of the caretaker as they interact with their child with ASD for four straight years. Results for gestures showed the greatest use of gestures at Visit 1 and leveled out in subsequent years while a constant consistent pattern was found for rate of speech.
