How to Improve Writing Self-Efficacy in Online Graduate Students

Abstract
This study tested the effectiveness of a newly revised, 14-week online graduate research methods course in improving students’ writing self-efficacy. The course included specific elements such as peer-editing, instructor conferences, and scaffolded assignments. Results showed that graduate students’ writing self-efficacy and the quality of their writing significantly improved.
