Examining Relations between Infant Gender Differences in Maternal Soothing Behaviors

Abstract
Literature on mother-child relationships demonstrates that there is a strong correlation between a positive mother-child relationship early in life and the development of a healthy person. This study is meant to examine how gender socialization of a mother may subconsciously alter how she reacts to a male versus female infant.
